This was our first time at The Big Difference venue. I was very eager to put Showcases on at The Big Difference because it the bar is run by an old staff member – Anthony from Earls. This event was incredibly busy so I spent most my time upstairs on ‘door duty’ so my pictures are a bit crap but lesson learned going forwards!
Tonight was all about the kooky – a bit weird and wonderful!
First up was Jas Heather, a beautiful, brilliant singer songwriter who you probably met on the reception desk at some point. These days she is studying Physics at Warwick University but she cam back for the day to play at our Showcase.
You may remember Jas hosted the open mic night at our open day in May and gave us a short set at the Warehouse 6 opening event.
Making their debut appearance on stage was Kali Yuga. I have to confess I have been following their progress in the rehearsal rooms for some time and was very eager to get them on a Showcase. They absolutely smashed it and I am looking forward to seeing them play again.
The headliners were Leave your body behind. These guys have a 2020’s Brit Pop vibe about them, their songs, even though new sound very familiar. Fronted by redhead Max. These guys played The Black Room at our open day in May.
