We were back at The Big Difference last night with the First Showcase of the year, celebrating another set of talented young artists that rehearse with us.
First off was the marvellously kooky The Societys who entertained the audience with their new up coming single ‘Keys Phone Wallet’ and my personal favourite ‘Goals’ They have a great sense of humour and their set had the audience giggling along with them.
Subtle Calamity followed them, fronted by our very own Archie Park, who’s vocals were more growly than his appearance would have you believe. Their songs were full of solid guitar riffs and they had a great modern Nirvana twist going on. This is definitely a band to watch!
The headliners Duke Springs played their first gig ever, and I can say these guys prepared meticulously for their debt show. Its paid off as their set was tight and polished, it was hard to believe they hadn’t performed before. The audience was so impressed with their songs, they had to do an encore
