We are back at Duffy’s Bar this month for a bit of a 90’s throwback vibe.
Brand new band Spiral opened the event. You will recognise guitarist/ frontman Archie from the reception desk. He has teamed up with drummer Luke to produce a great instrumental grunge based duo. Spiral brought with them a hoard of moshers for the bounce pit, so I had to film them from the back of the room to avoid being trampled on.
This was also The Flashbacks first venue gig. These guys had a mixture of covers and originals with unabashed Oasis influence. What gave them the edge over Oasis in my opinion was their great lead guitarist bringing in some really interesting tones and melodies.
Headliners The Cause brought their own cool vibe with the singers ‘laid back but owning it’ vocals. These guys may be young but are already clearly accomplished musicians and definitely ones to watch. Their contribution to the 90’s vibe was a great over of Blurs’ Song Two

Every band brought a large following of people and there was a real nice vibe the whole night. Not bad for a rainy Tuesday x
